Programme, day by day
Day 1 · Hammamet → El Jem → Matmata → Douz
Amphitheatre of El Jem, lunch and troglodyte houses in Matmata, then Douz. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 2 · Douz → Chott el Jerid → Tozeur
Camel ride in the dunes at sunrise, then across the Chott el Jerid to Tozeur. Afternoon in the old town and the palm grove. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 3 · 4×4 Chebika, Tamerza, Ong Jmel, Nefta
Full day by 4×4: the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza, the Star Wars set of Ong Jmel and the corbeille of Nefta. Dinner and night in Tozeur.
Day 4 · Tozeur → Kairouan → Hammamet
Return north via Kairouan, its Great Mosque and medina. Back at your hotel in the evening.
